Cutting is achieved by hydraulically driving a hardened steel guillotine blade through the steel rope. The rope may be fed through the throat of the tool or alternately the anvil pin may be manually withdrawn and returned to capture the rope for cutting.

Webtool cutters are capable of cutting chain, sections of steel and many other materials. These tools are engineeered using high tensile alloys and are polished and nickel plated for corrosion protection. Units can be supplied to meet specific customer requirements and are available in either spring return blade or hydraulic blade return format.

For sub-sea use, we recommend the hydraulic return or double acting version. These tools can be certified for operation with up to 14,500 psi hydraulic working pressure, for specific applications.
